In-progress concept map

Due to the size of the design space, a master plan was not needed for this area and instead, we have an in-progress simple concept plan. This is the kind of plan that would be made after one or two consultations with a client. In this case, the plan was created after only one meeting.

From the curved existing retaining wall to the front door is to be completely redone following a major drainage excavation. This house has seen many drainage problems and a French drain is being installed accompanying the length of the house to problem-solve this. Not only designed to be a minimial-maintenance greenspace for renters as well as a landscape that can effectively aid in proper drainage due to the type of plants chosen and materials used, Birdsong's design also matches the 50's style of the house.

Working with the client's needs, Pete's design here also recycles existing materials including boulders, concrete pavers, and moss while generating an outdoor gathering space and effectively connecting the two driveways on either side to the front door.
